Summary:

BK Consultants Ltd were appointed to carry out a visual and intrusive Structural Inspection and produce a Structural Report on the cause of the sagging to the ridgeline of the roof. Our inspection identified a failure of the roof truss connections. We instructed the client to have the property vacated and the roof trusses urgently propped due to the risk of collapse, this allowed for the roof structure to be structurally analysed as to the cause of the failure, which was the result of the under design of the roof trusses either side of the rooflights. Construction faults were also discovered to the steelwork ring beam.
